The University of Arkansas, College of Engineering and the departments within the College offer scholarships funded by gifts from generous donors to engineering students beginning their Sophomore year. Outside Fellowships & Awards
Outside Scholarships are awards that come from agencies outside the University of Arkansas. Scholarship amount and eligibility criteria may vary widely depending on the agency. The University of Arkansas Office of Academic Scholarships has created a webpage dedicated to Outside Scholarship Listings. Other reputable scholarship search sites include SchoolSoup and FastWeb, two nation-wide scholarship search engines.
In addition, the following sites may be of interest to chemical engineering students:
- Arkansas Environmental Federation (AEF): Chemical engineering students are eligible to apply. *Students should plan to use the essay to explain how chemical engineering is related to the environment, as well as describe interests and goals to work in an environmental field. Guidelines and application can be found at www.environmentark.org under the "Scholarships" tab.
- Arkansas Academic Challenge Scholarship
- Society of Women Engineers- various scholarships
Arkansas Non-Resident Tuition Award
For students who live in Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Louisiana, Tennessee, Mississippi or Missouri, you may qualify for an out-of-state tuition scholarship. For more information visit the Office of Academic Scholarships.
